This piece was mostly updating my priors, but there is specific analysis into ARPU compression (short-form video monetization will have a terminal monetization level far below other formats), as well as the churn rate calculations there made. I'm not trying to discredit your professor, but I think you should write however you want.

You can write stock picking commentary if you want, but do it your way.

A good story is way more fun to read than just a bunch of numbers. While insightful, nobody likes to read a textbook.

Data won't keep people coming back to your articles, but your opinion will. As a writer myself, I took a while to understand this, and I've had much more success and fun with it.

Good employers recognize talent no matter what. Just stay true to your own voice.
