What process do you use when doing your DD on these companies and finding this information. What are your go-to sources?

I wouldn't underrate an investor presentation. The past two weeks finding discrepancies in those has been a major boon in understanding companies. I've also been putting more importance on the management team, so checking their history on LinkedIn and news for them leaving is super important. Other than that I always check out the 10-K, recent 10-Qs and conference calls!

Do you know of any good studies/writeups on using webtraffic data as a leading indicator? I've seen it done all the time, just wonder how useful it actually is. I enjoyed the writeup although the low float seems to make shorting difficult

Thanks so much for the comment! Appreciate you taking the time out of your day to give this a read :)

In regards to studies I don't have any on hand that I can give but it's more of a statistical understanding in my experience that a drop in traffic requires a higher conversion rate of visitors to customers to maintain the same number of units sold, which isn't an easy thing to do and implies business struggles.

This is especially noticeable for their social media outlets since for stuff like YouTube falling out of the algorithm like they have isn't an easy thing to fix, I know from past experience working with SEO on a channel for several years. Just the math on the YouTube part, their views are down by over 75%, which means they need an over 300% increase in clickthrough rate to make up for it! Very difficult to do. I hope you have a great night!

Possible hit job. Possibly politically motivated piece. Attacking Patrick Byrne who is an activist for Election Reform and who believes (rightly) the Election of 2020 was stolen. Patrick is the founder of Overstock and its former CEO. He resigned because he knew the Machine would come after his company when he went public with accusations of Election Fraud. (The way they went after Mike Lindell's company because he did not resign).
